In this section, you can complete your BAföG application online. Upon completion of the application, you can decide whether or not to print it off and send it the traditional way by post or send it electronically via De-Mail to the BAföG offices.

Step 2: submit e-application
Once you have fully completed the details, you can either print off the e-application and deliver it by hand, post it to your BAföG office or send the application digitally via De-Mail. You will require a De-Mail account to do thist.
If you wish to deliver the application using purely traditional means, e.g. in person or by post, then please print off the completed application in full.

E-application via De-Mail
Alternatively, you can send us your BAföG application electronically via De-Mail with no signature. You will require a De-Mail account to do this. Send the De-Mail with confirmation of sender (login with authentication level ‘high’ and / or ‘confidential / private’).

With De-Mail, messages are sent in an encrypted, protected and verifiable manner. It’s just as easy as sending an e-mail. Unlike e-mail, however, De-Mail allows you to unequivocally verify both the identity of the communication partner and the transmission and receipt of De-Mails at any time.
The contents of a De-Mail cannot be read or amended in any way on their journey though the Internet. Secure login procedures and connections to De-Mail providers as well as encrypted transport routes between De-Mail providers ensure the confidential sending and receiving of De-Mails.
