If you have completed vocational training and would like to pursue a degree, the Advancement Scholarship (Aufstiegsstipendium) can support you. The application phase runs until Monday, June 1, 2026.
The Advancement Scholarship is aimed at individuals who, after completing their vocational training and gaining practical experience, wish to begin their first university degree. You can apply even before starting your studies or up until the end of your second semester. There is no age limit.
The scholarship includes
- €992 per month plus €80 for books for full-time study,
- €3,045 per year for part-time study alongside employment,
- €160 childcare allowance per child under the age of 14,
- funding that is independent of income.
In addition to financial support, scholarship holders benefit from a wide range of seminars, regional groups on site, and a digital network for exchange and networking.
