Starting March 16, we will be changing our offer in the Mensa Weingarten. The Seezeit-Teller will be redesigned, and the KombinierBar line will be discontinued.
These changes will initially apply for the summer semester. Afterwards, we will review together how you like the new offer.
Two Seezeit-Teller instead of a menu
In the future, the Seezeit-Teller will consist of a main dish. In return, you will have more choice.
From now on, the Seezeit-Teller will be available in two variants:
- Seezeit-Teller with meat
- Seezeit-Teller without meat
Both options will be available every day.
KombinierBar discontinued
With our change, the KombinierBar line will be discontinued. Previously, you could choose the centerpiece there – a main component with sauce – and freely combine it with side dishes of your choice.
The side dishes will remain part of our offer and can still be selected additionally.
Why we are adjusting the offer
Many guests in the Mensa Weingarten already choose ready-made plate dishes instead of individually combinable options. We are responding to this trend with the new concept.
In addition, the main dishes can now be served in larger portions because the menu no longer includes an additional side dish.
Goal of the adjustment
With this change, we want to align the offer with your demand while keeping it stable despite rising operating and food costs and avoiding further price increases wherever possible.
